The Tower

The Tower

Upright: Disaster, upheaval, sudden change, revelation

Reversed: Avoidance of disaster, fear of change

The Tower shows a tall server pitched atop a craggy mountain.  Static electrical sparks fly down and flames burst from the server’s USB ports. Websites MySpace and Napster that declined in popularity or were closed down are falling from the destruction and turmoil.  The Tower signifies darkness and destruction both online and with your hardware.  The Tower itself represents ambitions built on false premises.  The crown that sat on top of the tower is the stock price around the time of the dot com bubble and subsequent crash.  The lightening bolt has knocked the crown off the tower and illustrates a break down of existing software and hardware in order to make room for new versions.  The lightening bolt aldo represents a sudden, momentary glimpse of truth, a flash of inspiration that breaks down structures of ignorance and false reasoning. Notice that the lighting bolt is coming down from right to left, from the corner of an iPhone or iPad screen that often has the battery life left representing the death of your equipment.  There are 22 sparks representing the 22 Major Arcana.  The grey clouds or smoke plumes are the clouds of misfortune that rain on everyone indiscriminately.
